About the Old Woman Ocean Paddle
Old Woman Island has long been an iconic land mark of the Sunshine Coast. There are many local legends that attempt to explain the Islands history all of which add to the character and intrigue of the region and the waters off the Sunshine Coast.
Starting at the Mooloolaba Spit, The Old Woman Ocean Paddle will challenge Ocean and Spec ski paddlers as well as SUP, OC1 and prone board paddlers throughout the 18km journey along the coast line to Mudjimba around Old Woman Island and return. If that course doesn’t fit your paddling ability just yet, join in The Little Woman, a 5km course within the Mooloolaba Beach bay.
Challenge yourself against the course and fellow competitors whilst appreciating the ocean, coastal environment and relaxed culture that the Sunshine Coast has to offer as you take on The Old Woman. A new addition to the Ocean racing calendar this paddler and spectator friendly event is a great way to race and relax with the ocean paddling community.Learn More
